OOTD: I can't see the camera....so what?

Apologies for the squinting looks, it was such a fab day that I really couldn't resist doing an Outfit Of The Day, when it came to taking the photos I could hardly see the camera as the sun was so strong, ah well what can ya do?

Top: ASOS//Trousers: H&M//Lace crop top: Urban Outfitters//Pendent: unknown//Shoes: Blowfish

Earlier that day I had an interview but since it was so hot I needed to change into a loose top. What better top to change into than my beloved sheer top with darling lace detailing. Perfect for a hot summers day. I adore these H&M trousers which I had only picket up on monday (03.06.13), they are perfect for a smart look but also for that causal feel that we crave around this time of year. I adore how they fit and I get a strong mad men vibe off them, not bad for €19.95 eh?

The pendent was a gift from my mother who simply adores bright and bold colours, to receive something toned down from her as a gift was quite a change. She did however balance it out with the simple fact that this is a fly! How unusual? I adore how it catches the light as a result transform any all black ensemble  the dark sliver chain give this pendant an understated quality which makes it all the more fabulous.

If you follow me on twitter or on youtube you will be familiar with these, I am not the biggest fan of blowfish but the style and the metal toe caught my eye. I had read reviews that those who are of a standard size could not wear these due to the tapered toe and that a smaller size was too big. I however being a 7.5 in a UK shoe was able to get away with a size 7 UK. The do loosen up as is expect with the nature of a suede shoe and are now a comfortable fit. I actually think these are the most comfortable pair of flats I have ever owned! They still need to be broken in a bit more but so far they are a pleasure .

Boots Haul

I have a love hate relationship with boots, I love that all my makeup and toiletries needs are in one place I hate that I can't control my spending habits.

Collection 2000 2in1 €4.75, Rimmel Match Perfection €9.95, 17 Double Gloss Top Coat €5,59, Carmex Moisture Plus €5.98

This Haul actually conceited of two trips one trip was out of necessity the latter was out of want. Usually I try and shop like a man when it comes to boots (ya know that whole bee line thing, pay and get out as fast as you can). On the first round I did a fatal thing, my beauty blogger instincts took over and I deiced to check out what was new among the 'Drug Store" brands, bad move. The next day I popped back in to my local boots and completed the haul.

At the blogger meet up I attend on Saturday (01.06.13) I got on the topic of nails with Lil. She told me about the top coat she used, which protected her amazing nail art from chipping the whole time! I simply had to pick up some 17 Double Gloss Top Coat to try it out for myself! The Collection 2000 2 in1 Strengthener & Hardener was a bit of an impulse buy and I am also running out of my current base.

Rimmel Match Perfection foundation was a impulse buy, what caught my eye was, that there was a shade light enough to suit my porcelain complexion. I have to say I was truly delighted, it is next to impossible for me to find a 'drug store' makeup brand that actually caters for my skin tone I chose shade Light Porcelain 010. The price is what won me over and I am so excited to try this out!

Carmex Moisture Plus was without a doubt a necessity, I had burnt my lips earlier in the week and needed something that would heal them and protect them from the sun. The stylish and compact packaging caught my eye perfect for a bit of a pick me up when you're on the go. I simply adore using it so far and have felt the benefits.

Have you recently picke up anything in boots? Have you used anything in the haul? How did you get on with it?

The Wonders of Tropical Popical Nail Bar Dublin

I am ashamed to say that I had never ever stepped into Tropical Popical till Thursday evening (30.05.13). I had heard such wonders about this nail bar with a twist, had every intention of getting my claws pampered but failed to. When the invitation appeared in my mail box I couldn't wait to attend.

I adore the fresh vibe and friendly manner of the staff. I find many salons intimidating which puts me off treating myself to a mani. Here this is not that case, the crazy tropical twist as the name suggests made me feel at ease and the staff are simply fab. Of course we where greeted with their trademark of lilt in a coconut which I find simply darling.

One thing that I am terrible at is making small talk to anyone, it just doesn't come naturally. I usually feel awkward but here this was not the case. The prices of this hip and trendy bar as extremely reasonable and most definitely competitive. Just check out the screen grab from their site bellow.

To celebrate the launch of the Silver Factory collaboration with Tropical Popical we where treated to mains with the theme of the nail bars logo which is also featured on the tees. As you can see they are amazing at nail art (obvs) the art itself was done in free hand clearly demonstrating how talented they are.

Tropical Popical is clearly the number one up and coming nail bar in Dublin to find out more just follow this link tropicalpopical.com
